Horse & Soul is a Kansas-based therapy practice offering in-office sessions, telehealth services, and equine-assisted therapy when clinically appropriate. Together, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan that supports your healing journey.

Deanna's work is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and a deep respect for each individual’s unique story. Deanna provides therapy for individuals and families through in-office and equine-assisted psychotherapy — a unique, experiential approach to mental health care that aligns deeply with her values and clinical philosophy. Her approach is flexible and collaborative, focused on creating a safe, trusting space where growth and healing can occur. Deanna is passionate about helping clients recognize their strength and resilience while building meaningful, lasting change. Outside of her professional work, Deanna enjoys spending time with her husband and son, caring for their farm animals, and finding balance through reading, travel, and time outdoors — all of which influence the grounded, relational nature of Horse & Soul.
Equine-assisted therapy is a clinical approach that integrates guided, ground-based interaction with horses into treatment. This modality may support emotional awareness, regulation, and insight in ways that complement traditional therapy.
Not every client participates in equine-assisted therapy. When clinically appropriate, it becomes part of your personalized treatment plan and is billed through insurance just as in-office sessions are. No riding is involved and no experience with horses is required.

Horse & Soul offers non-clinical equine experiences designed specifically for teams, leadership groups, and organizations seeking meaningful growth through experiential learning.
These professionally facilitated sessions provide a powerful environment for strengthening communication, leadership awareness, collaboration, and trust.
All team and corporate experiences are separate from therapy services and are not billed through insurance.
Horse & Soul accepts a variety of insurance plans.
If you’re ready to explore therapy — whether in-office, online, or incorporating equine-assisted work — we invite you to take the first step.
